Minister

The Minister serves as the head of the department, providing overall leadership and strategic direction. They are responsible for ensuring that the department fulfills its mandate effectively and aligns with the national government’s priorities.

Secretary

The Secretary is the chief administrative officer of the department, responsible for overseeing its operations and implementing the Minister’s directives. They ensure that policies, plans, and programs are executed efficiently and effectively to meet the department’s goals.

Deputy Secretary – Corporate Services

This role focuses on managing the internal operations of the department, ensuring that administrative, financial, and logistical functions are carried out smoothly. The Deputy Secretary provides oversight for key support divisions, including:

Human Resources Division

  • Responsible for recruitment, staff welfare, training, and performance management.
  • Ensures a motivated and skilled workforce is maintained.

Finance Division

  • Manages budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Ensures compliance with financial regulations and efficient use of resources.

ICT & Systems Division

  • Oversees information systems, digital transformation, and IT support.
  • Ensures the department’s systems are secure and operational.

Deputy Secretary – Technical Services

This role focuses on the department’s core functions, including service delivery, technical support, and project implementation. The Deputy Secretary oversees specialized divisions such as:

Project Implementation Division

  • Responsible for executing government programs and monitoring progress.
  • Works closely with stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved.

Policy & Planning Division

  • Develops policies, strategic plans, and frameworks to guide the department’s activities.
  • Conducts research and analysis to inform decision-making.

Monitoring & Evaluation Division

  • Tracks the effectiveness of programs and projects.
  • Provides insights and recommendations to improve outcomes.
